ABS# The paper studies the effect of the properties characteristic to the
     elastomeric and plastomeric components in the star bloc copolymers upon
     the degree of modification in the properties of the high density
     polyethylene got by compounding. It was proved that the difference between
     the compounds characteristics is due to the different compatibility
     presented by the polymers in the blend. The conclusion was that the
     maximum modification effect is produced by the styrene-butadiene block
     copolymer.
