TIT# Strain-induced polymorphic transition in poly(butylene terephthalate) and in its blend with poly(ether ester) thermoplastic elastomer as revealed by synchrotron radiation AUT# Apostolov, A. The more perfect component originates from homo-PBT, the less perfect one from the PBT blocks in the copolymer. By annealing at suitable temperature the less perfect component is transferred to isotropic state, whereas the more perfect one does not melt and remains oriented. To the best of our knowledge there is no other report on the coexistence of two species of crystallographically identical crystals one of which is isotropic whereas the other is highly oriented.
